| How We Relate to Each Community |
|
Before implementing any programs we will listen to the community very carefully. This has been shown to be a critical first step; we cannot assume that we know what is best for any given community. Further, the community’s citizens must be involved in the whole process from the start. Based on observations reported in Good News for a Change: How Everyday People are Helping the Planet by David Suzuki & Holly Dressel – page 323. We connect to each community through the education, training and support of a local community team that operate the Total Health Circle in their community. Most important is our education, our commitment to learning how we may improve our environment. Oberlin Professor David Orr, the leading spokesperson for integrating the environment and education, writes that, “Much of the change in outlook and perspective called for will not happen in the time available unless schools, colleges, and education get it.” So as a community we have to take responsibility for education. And we mean the education of citizens of all ages. Education is far too important to leave to educators, teachers, schools and universities. Each local community team mirrors the core team of The Total Health Circle International. Thus we are seen as allies facilitating a community's progress to sustainability and greater environmental, energy, financial, and family health. Marketing will take place community by community engaging the support of community leaders and business people, and leveraging the word of mouth communication that is natural to community to spread the benefits of the Total Health Circle . As far as we know this is a unique approach to Internet-based marketing. Further we will increase the real income and wealth of communities through customer referral marketing which formalizes word-of-mouth and rewards those who join the Total Health Circle
